What if any developed country was successful in making contact with alien civilization and communicated secretly??

From many decades all the scientists are trying to make contact with the alien civilization if they exist but all in vien. 

Many have devoted there whole life in it.

But what would happen if any of the developed country was successful in making contact and hide it from the rest of the world, firstly it all depends upon the Government and the security agencies, like in the case of USA we have came across area 51 which is bealived to be for the alien research and the govt was successful in hidding it with rest of the world.

But if other countries like russia and india they will hide it an would become the next superpower as they will be having more advanced technology and would develop at higher phase they would learn all things from the alien and this would be a big turning point for whole human civilization.

Many conspiracy theorytis bealive that American govt have been testing and doing reverse engineering on the UFO'S which were crashed in Rosewelt long time ago.

If the aliens would be type 2 civilisation and are rude then we would be in great trouble as they would try to rule ove rus or use all resources of our planet or they can even destroy us as Stephen Hawking say that if they would be not in our favor it might be dangerous .

But it would be a great day when we would make contact with ALIENS...
